I attended an awesome three day training session last week in Colorado Springs; STAGE 2012. There were around 50 to 60 Property Designers and Home Stagers in attendance. Unfortunately about a 1/3 more were unable to attend due to Hurricane Sandi.
The training was great. There was a ton of good information on how to prepare homes to sell quickly and on how to market your Home Staging Business; so much so that I was on overload! Karen Schaefer always goes above and beyond when she does her training classes. However, I got so much more out of it than just training.
Being able to talk and interact for 3 whole days with other men and women who are in the business was priceless. I truly believe that being able to network and to discuss the different challenges in this business with those who have either already met the challenge or who are sure to do so in the future is priceless. I also have to say that these small business owners are open and eager to share their experiences and their expertise. This most certainly is not the case with all industries or all training programs that I have attended. I came away with a renewed excitement and dedication to my Home Staging and Redesign business and to providing services that will help each and every one of my clients.
Thanks to all of you who shared your expertise and friendship at STAGE 2012; it was fabulous!
