Homes in the Stonewall Jackson District are highly sought after thanks in large part to the amazingly unique Stonewall Jackson Elementary located there.  Included in the school's exemplary educational studies is learning sign language.  This is an amazing way to allow the deaf students of Dallas Regional Day School for the Deaf to truly interact with their fellow hearing-abled students on campus.

October 2012 real estate market stats for the Stonewall Jackson District of Dallas

According to the most recent statistics from NTREIS (the North Texas Real Estate Information Systems), the Stonewall Jackson District is experiencing a lot of traffic.  As of October 2012, there are currently 85 active listings in the district, slightly less than the 98 from the previous report.  While the active listings have decreased, the prices have not.  A 1 bed/1 bath home is currently listed at $64,900.  The average listing price is $312,304, a 2.2% increase over the previous month's report.  The average days on market for active listings is 105 days.

Pending sales in the Stonewall Jackson District are up.  There are 29 home sales pending, up from the previous month's 21.  The average home pending sale in the district is a 2 bed/1 bath, 1539 square foot property listed at $229,834 and was on the market for 84 days before going to contract.  That's $149 per square foot.

Finally, the actual amount of Stonewall Jackson District homes sold seems to have remained relatively steady at 33 (the previous month showed 34 homes sold).  However, the prices have increased.  The average price for a home sold in the district for October 2012 was $315,506 (2.3% less than the original listing price of $323,008).  Last month, the average sales price was $308,452 (2.9% less than the original listing price).  The average days on market came way down as well: 55 for October, 102 for September.
