Good Morning, Good Morning, Good Morning to YOU!
My Dad used to sing that to us early in the morning as Kids.
He actually had this great baritone. But that early in the morning it was hard to appreciate anything let alone his serenade.
You just wanted to pull the pillow over your head. Maybe pour ice cubes in his slippers.
It was not funny because he would reserve it for those mornings when you had to be somewhere so early even the Roosters were snoozing.
But he was an early bird. To bed at Nine and rise and shine early time was DBR.
He had all this early morning energy and pizazz.
One time I heard him sing his Good Morning song to my Niece while we were visiting in Florida.
I got a few chuckles out of that Morning Show.
So this morning I sense him with me singing his Good Morning Song as I face mountains and piles of paperwork and tons of things on the to do list TODAY.
But I'm not pulling the pillow over my head because the memory has given me miles of smiles.
He would have said to get up early and just get started.
So START I will.
Good Morning, Good Morning, Good Morning to YOU!
