Government Offices to Close in Honor of Veterans Day

We salute all the men and women who serve as a veteran to fight for our country and our freedom. It is deserving of our government offices to close in honor of Veterans Day on November 11, 2012.

A ceremony will take place on Veterans Day.

When: November 11, 2012 Sunday

Time: 10:00am

Where: Patriots Park 800 Venetia Bay Blvd. Venice FL 34285

Sponsor: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8118 in Venice

All the government offices in Sarasota County will be closed on Monday November 12, 2012.

Departments to close include:

Venice City Hall, libraries, history centers, post office, recreation centers, the Knights Trail Park Pistol, Air Rifle Range in Nokomis, and the Englewood Sports complex

Departments open:

Schools in Sarasota County will be open Garbage, recycling and yard waste pick up collection will be as usual, and the landfill at 4000 Knights Trail Road, Nokomis FL 34275 will be open as from 8:00am to 5:00pm
