Less Buckhead & Sandy Springs homes for sale, should you look for a jewel in the rough?
Atlanta GA has less single family homes for sale today than it has in 15 years. There are just under 18,000 homes on the Atlanta Real Estate Market today. This is less than we've had in so very long.
This reduced sales home inventory is having a crazy effect. Tim Francis Realty is seeing this in Buckhead and especially inside the perimeter. Homes are going on the market and under contract instantly if they are at a solid price point for what they offer.
If you are looking to buy today, it's going to be very important to look outside the box, and be willing to consider doing renovations, painting, etc. The main part of what you are looking for in location, wether it's school district, commute, neighborhood. Since this is criteria you really want to stick with, sometimes you might need to take the fixer upper or the home that needs a little cosmetic TLC. When you are open to thinking outside the box, you will have many more options to chose from.
Not every home will be granite and stainless steel ready. While there will be some of those, being a bit flexible will help you make the most of this new seller's market.
