Update to "WHY DO YOU WANT PEOPLE TO SELL YOU FALSE PROMISES"

By
Title Insurance with HomeRun Title

First I'd like to start off by saying I couldn't figure out how to add the link here, to my original blog. I finally got frustrated. So for all who are reading this, that didn't read the original, you'll have to go to my page and click on my blogs. My apologies but I'm still new at this.

So here's the update:

I sent her a couple of messages to call me today, letting her know it was important that we speak. No response. My last message to her stated that I had to leave because my daughter was sick but for her to go to Google and search for "ZYX company", which is the XYZ Company she's dealing with. From there I told her she would find some useful information, whether it be good or bad.

When I arrived home, I immediately logged into my messages and guess what? There was a reply from her. The only thing in this message was the web address to the information she found. Which was only the article stating they were being sued for defaulted loans. Guess she didn't find the other one in which they were fined for having 21 unlicensed mortgage brokers. Did I mention in the previous blog I only searched the first page of Google? Wonder what other useful information there was on page 2 or 3.

I sent her a reply stating what she sent me was only SOME of the information I found on them but was glad she found it.

The last message I received from her went like this:

"My question is, is it something that could hurt me personally? I don't know enough about this to really understand the full impact of what they are involved with here."

Well, I'm right back to my dilemma. What do I do? Do I call her and explain in detail what it all means? Should I really get this involved? I'm so confused. This should just add to the fact, somehow, someway, the Public needs to be educated. I need help again from the AR Community!

Personally Dawn,

I wouldn't get involved. Let the lady learn her lesson.

I would suggest she contact her realestate attorney or talk to the better business folks or look on their web site. You do not want to be involved ina slander issue

Yes, it could very well hurt her personally.  Not PHYSICALLY, but still personally.

I agree with Sean, leave her be and let her learn her lesson.  You seem to have made it your mission to save this person and while I think your altruism is great, it's time to let her fly on her own.

If, say we were talking about a child, then of course you'd have to explain because their brains are still in the developing stages. We are talking though about a grown adult.

"My question is, is it something that could hurt me personally? I don't know enough about this to really understand the full impact of what they are involved with here."

You should be able to read the article and know it's not a good thing when a company is being sued for over 1.55 MIL and they employ un-licensed professionals.

Dawn, be careful.  If they are having that much legal trouble chances are they have a lawyer or two around.  It would be a shame to see you get caught up in a slander or libel suit.

I'm still in the camp that you have done your job, this woman needs to do a little thinking for herself.  The mortgage broker she found will either make it work for her or not ... either way she will figure out what is/has gone on.
