Today animals are often viewed much differently than they have been in the past, they are members of the family.  Strong bonds are formed making saying goodbye harder and harder for us.  Because our animals have become so valuable to our everyday lives we at Stookey Pet Cremation Services feel the loss of an animal should carry the same respect as the loss of a family member.  One way we want to help deal with this loss is by providing our services 24 hours a day, as we understand that the loss of a beloved pet can happen at anytime.  We want you to know that we are always a phone call away whether this means we are meeting you and your animal at the vet clinic, at your home, or we can even have the mobile vet clinic meet you with us at your home.  Our services will adapt to what will be best for you and your family.  

We would like to be here to help you find a way to the most affectionate memories alive of your family and your pet.  We will help you find the perfect urn or memorial to honor your pets life.  Our services will be able to accomodate any and all needs for your family from a cremation service to a burial service.  We understand that this is a difficult time for you and your family and would like to offer our deepest condolences for the loss of your beloved pet.


Our 24 Availability:

We’re offering 24 hour service!  We know that loss happens at the most inconvenient times!  This is a great option for Veterinarian Clinics and Hospitals.  With our service your customers can call you when they unfortunately lose their beloved pet at anytime and we will be there to help you out.  Whether it is early morning (before normal business hours), in the middle of the night, or on the weekend our company we will have someone at the phones ready to answer your call.  This will prevent your customers from having to find an alternate place to house their pets until your office opens.  We would like to operate just like a funeral home in the sense that we will drive directly to the home, pick up the pet, and take it directly to our facility and await further directions from you as to the arrangements needing to be made for the pet. 

About me:
Let me introduce myself, My name is Ted Stookey and I am the owner of Stookey Pet Cremation Services, LLC.  I have worked directly in the funeral business for the last 7 years.  I was a part of the rescue efforts in Joplin Missouri after the tornado of 2011.  For my efforts I was given a Certification of Appreciation from the Missouri Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association.  During the time in Joplin, I came to understand that the loss of a beloved pet was just as devastating as losing any other family member or friend.  At that time, I decided to change course and provide an understanding and compassionate service for people in their time of loss.  With the help, sweat, and labor of my family and friends my business has came about.  As a life long resident, I am committed to the the St. Louis metro and the state of Missouri.  When available, my supplies are provided by other local small businesses.  My equipment is all new and environmentally friendly, and has been approved by the EPA.

We have a lot of options to offer you that will honor your pets life, from our Standard Cremation Package to the many other urns we have in stock.  Along with the urns we have in stock we also have many others to chose from that can be individually ordered from our outstanding collection of catalogs.  With the selection we have available to give your pet's remains a permanent and secure place to honor his special place in your heart we know you will be fully satisfied!  

Our Standard package includes:

• A temporary urn
• an unframed copy of the Ranibow Bridge poem that is personalized with your pet's paw print and a lock of their hair. 
• An unframed Pet Cremation Certificate
