I posted a blog last night explaining the benefits of using Virtual Tours from my company.  I checked my email this morning and found a comment on my blog from a competitor.  Now, I have no problem with competition perplexedchecking out my blog and website.  I do the same, it keeps me up on what others are offering.  But this comment was posted evidently to irritate me and to direct people to his own company.  I made the mistake of commenting back on one of his blogs and now I feel bad. 

I have enjoyed Active Rain so much.  I have formed some great relationships and learned a ton of information.  This was the first time someone actually attacked one of my blogs and I wasn't ready for it.

Now I am.  With my delete button at the ready, I'm off to his blog again.  He can have his bad attitude and his ethics.  I'll keep mine.

Peggy, Not everyone agrees all the time but I think it's awesome that you're choosing to not be part of negativity/rudeness, I don't know the details but do know I've seen some backhanded comments on here that seem to be for the sole purpose of making the writer look better...it's sad, really!

Sometimes it's hard but you need to be the better person.This is a dog eat dog business but most days are good but like any other business there are some butt heads.

The problem is that sometimes really great people like you get an email where someone has went out of their way to make it sad on your day.

I have learned to walk away for awhile rather than respond right away.

Otherwise I would probably right something telling someone what I may not want to have, and I would have been mad.

I have learned that the more successful you are the more people will knock you.

You are a wonderful, charming, and really a super person.

You and I are alike; it took forever for me to learn to let go of these things.

Are you going to have sometime  when you come up to let me buy you that cup of coffee?

In Oconomowoc I sold my friend a place which she calls Lakerz. I meet customers and friends there once in awhile.

Can I hire you to do some photo work for me if you have time? I need new pictures of Lars and I. Let me know.

You take care, and just let your competition admire you.

I completly understand where you are coming from. This has happened to myself recently also.

just because they have been top dog all these years when th new kid on the block comes along they come out with venom, you just have to say screw them .

 if they are so worried they must be doing something wrong or their business is not was strong as they thought it was.

Peggy- One of the main rules here is not to slander and to show respect to others.....so anytime anyone, competitor or not, writes something nasty DELETE.......we all need to remember not to post in the heat of anger, or if we are so emotionally charged that we might say something we later regret. 

Glad you chose to just delete the comments.....it makes for a more pleasant experience :)
