The management plan for the Ahihi-Kinau Natural Area Reserve has been approved and volunteers are being trained to help educate the public about this fragile seashore environment.  The 2,000 acre preserve encompasses both land and marine areas at the end of the road past Makena Beach.  In the past, heavy usage was causing damage and new rules had to be implemented.  To volunteer you can call Sarah Bott at 808 264-7891.
