I'm not a hockey fan but even I know this labour dispute is having an effect on people's lives!

Men are being forced to spend time watching chic flics with their women folk instead enjoying knock down, drag out fights on ice!

And, they're not enjoying their favourite beverage as much as normal either, or so says Molson Coors, Canada's oldest and biggest beer company.

"Molson Coors is sure enough about the causal relationship between the lockout and its crappy Canadian beer sales, that it's going to be asking the NHL to pay them back. "There will be some redress for us as a result of this," says Molson Coors CEO Peter Swinburn.

The good news is, at least the Toronto Maple Leafs aren't already losing the season!!!

Last year I had two leafs tickets sitting on my dash and someone broke into my car and left two more !!!!

Susan, I'm a Caps fan (although their inability to win postseason drives me nuts). Wish all these folks would get their act together and get it back on track. It's not like hockey is the most popular sport in the US, so they can't afford alienating the fans they do have.

I think they should all be fired and new kids brought up with sensible salaries! There are lots of kids ready, willing and able to play.

Sounds kind of crazy. I'm with you fire them all and hire new kids that are just chomping at the bit for an opportunity to play and don't require ridiculous salaries.

I always equate beer and baseball. I don't even like the way beer tastes and yet if I get to a game I always order a beer, it's like apple pie at Thanksgiving. By the way NY Ranger fans are certifiable.

Jo - they'll have to switch to NBA. I hear the Rapters are looking for fans, LOL

Liz - I'm not a beer drinker either. I get caught up in arena excitement at baseball and hockey, order a beer and then remember why I'm not a beer drinker, LOL
