Last week my clients and I had a closing that was a long time coming. You name it, it happened during this process. When their mortgage commitment finally came through and we were waiting on that precious closing date we were hit by a hurricane, nor'easter snowstorm and earthquake all in a week and a half.
We just slipped in under the wire for the new requirement that all houses now have to be reinspected because of these tremendous weather conditions. Through it all their new home to be made it through like a champ - not even a downed tree limb. We did our walk through in the snow and freezing cold but it was oh so wonderful knowing it would soon be theirs. I kept telling them through the process that nothing good EVER comes easy. In this case it was absolutely true.
As they signed the last of the mortgage papers I was finally able to capture the smiles I had been waiting weeks for. Not only were they great clients but they have also become my dear friends. Cheers to you both for overcoming all the hurdles thrown at you over the past year!
