Hi Alan:  What a cool post.  I love the pictures, but would really like to know pricing on them.  For example, what is the price on the 1933 Craftsman Style ?  Also, I looked at the condo website, but no prices, no floor plans, but a pretty decent video on one of the floor plans.  Thanks for sharing...

Apparently Texas has a lot of beautiful houses! Great photos and wouldn't mind a few for myself.

Alan - This is a great post.  I would also recommend including some basic pricing information on how much homes like this cost in today's market.

Karen:

Thanks for your comments. The point of the post was not so much to look at pricing but at the Architecture in Austin. I thought is was facinating to see all the variety in one area. I will try to do a follow-up with some pricing.

Todd:

Thanks for your comments glad you enjoyed the variety of pictures.

Jason:

Good advice. As I stated with Karen, I was trying to show the Architecture of Austin more than actual pricing. But both comments make me think I should do another post with pricing on the various types of homes. Thanks.

Alan, those are some FANTASTIC looking homes... especially the old Austin.

Austin is still a Bohemian type of culture and attitude around down town? The music and nite life scene?

Cheers, KIM!

Hi Alan:  I understand that that was the point of your post, but even some of us REEL-TORZ are usually curious about pricing.  And, I just like that home, and wondered what the price was.  Take care...

Kim:

Yes Bohemian is still a good word for here and it fits. Although the growth is bringing modernism to the forefront recently.

Karen:

Thanks for coming back. Will try to get a post up with numbers.

Don:

Did Karen talk to you? Just kidding. Got your point.

I'd be interested in learning a bit about lots for sale in Austin & surrounding area. We really want to build our own home.  We've found a Craftsman plan we love on www.monsterhouseplans.com.  We'll be retiring at the end of the year and have pretty much nailed down Austin as our spot.
