Low property taxes in Suffolk County are based on what someone can afford. One may be able to afford $10,000 per year for property taxes while someone else can only afford up to $6,000 per year for property taxes or even less.

Be aware that condos in Suffolk County also have maintenance fees. This monthly fee must be calculated to see how much that costs per year then add it to the yearly property taxes to get a better idea of how much it will cost you to live there.

As of 11/16/2012, there are 494 Condos For Sale in Suffolk County with property taxes under $7,000.00. The maintenance fees start at $85.00 per month up to $1,895 per month.

Hi Fernando, Thank you. Yes, buyers here have to keep in mind of the taxes when buying any home. I also have to be aware of taxes when searching homes on the MLS for my buyers.

If people do not have Condo fees they still will have maintenance costs. Condo fees may actually be cheaper.

That's a lot of condos to choose from. We are so fortunate in Indiana to have such low property taxes, capped at 1% of assessed value for a primary residence

Hi Erv, Condo fees here vary so much and buyers have to keep that in mind also.
