We moved to Mooresville from upstate NY in August of 2004. One of the first things we noticed about this area was how happy and friendly everyone is! No matter where we were, as we searched for our new home, people went out of their way to welcome us, to wish us a nice day, to smile, to offer help, and were just happy! This was so nice especially since we didnt know the area and didnt know anyone here. We were really amazed the first time, as we were walking into a store from the parking lot, the motorist stopped and waved us on to cross in front of him! We talked about how this must be the "Southern Hospitality" that we hear about. We have made every effort to perpetuate this welcoming and friendly attitude because it's something that we love about this place. I imagine that the weather and the beautiful blue sky that we see so often must play a part in it. How can you not feel happy when its so pretty outside? I truly hope that it stays this way so that other newcomers can experience it too.
