4 Comments on Another Voice on Florida's Proposed Tax Amendment
Good Job Sharon...I think more, and more people are realizing this makes the system worse, in the long run and we need to push for an overhaul, not a band-aid.
Thanks for the link.
Jackie - I keep talking about this, and assuring people that not ALL Realtors are in favor of this amendment.
Tim and Susan - like so much of society today, they're concentrating on short term "fixes". We need to keep talking about our views whenever the conversation turns to the amendment. Thanks for chiming in!
I'm with you on this one also. It is NOT a solution to the problem and unfortunately, most people do not realize this. This proposal still shows the unfairness applied to our property tax system in this state. I too am a NO vote!
I wrote an email a few months back to FAR's VP telling him how dare he speak for me and TELL me how to vote! I let him know that I have a voice of my own and did not agree with what FAR was pushing or to be more precise, MANDATING! I informed him of the better options. Of course, I did not get a response since I did not conform to their view.
All I can hope is that more people will realize this and force our legislators to do their job and actually come out with REAL tax reform and not this "band-aid" that won't stick!
