People are coming from all over the country to see a new attraction in Pickens County called Gibbs Gardens. We are fortunate to live in a naturally beautiful area in the Blueridge Mountain foothills, but the addition of Gibbs to our area is a bonus!

The 292 acre gardens opened for business in March of 2012. Their season runs from March 1 through December 15, at which time they close for the winter. As the brain child of Jim Gibbs, who originally started assembly of the gardens in 1980. Since that time he has designed 24 ponds, 32 bridge crossings and 19 waterfalls. The numerous garden rooms are planted with hundreds of varieties of plants and are carved into pockets surrounded by acres of deciduous trees that provide spectacular Fall color.

This is a wonderful place to visit for all ages, even if you don't appreciate horticulture, simply because it's beautiful. More information can be obtained at www.GibbsGardens.com . Come visit Pickens County and Gibbs Gardens!
