Llloyd Robertson, Canada's longest serving news anchor, will be at the Royal Botanical Garden's Main Auditorium on Monday November 26th, 2012 talking about his recently released book  "The Kind of Life It's Been".

Don't miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to hear Llloyd talk about his sixty year career as a journalist and news anchor.

Lloyd holds the record as having been the oldest TV news anchor on network television and the oldest news anchor in Canada.
After retiring from the CTV news team in September of 2011, Lloyd continued to work in his field as co-host of CTV's W5.

Lloyd, a Canadian icon and household name, is well respected and admired for his dedication to the field of journalism and news reporting. His career spans six decades and at 78 years of age, Lloyd is still giving broadcast journalism his best.

Lloyd's appearance is being presented by Burlington's A Different Drummer Books, Brian Prince Bookseller and Harper Collins Canada.

"The Kind of Life It's Been", a memoir of Lloyd's career, promises to be an evening you won't ever forget.  Admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased at A Different Drummer Books, 905-639-0925.

The Royal Botanical Garden's Main Auditorium is located at 680 Plains Road West in Burlington.

Jo, the stories that Mr. Lloyd Robertson has to tell must be priceless. With over 60 years of journalism to his credit this is an event not to be missed...wish I was closer.

While he does have a very news "anchorly" appearance, I NEVER would have taken hom to be 78  years old!  I hope he continues his behind the scenes contributions - I can't imagine the insights he could share!

He covered so many of the major happenings in the past century...the first man on the moon being one of them.  I'm going to do my best to go and see him speak. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity.
