The New Hampshire housing market continues to indicate signs of a real recovery. In October of this year, home sales continued an upward trend and the prices were up for the second month in a row.
From October 2011 to October 2012, the median sales price of homes in New Hampshire increased by 11.6 percent, from $190,000 to $212,000. Every month in 2012 there has been increase in unit sales compared to the same month in 2011.
In the month of September 2012, the median sales price was $199,900. The 6 percent increase in median home prices over the month was the largest monthly increase in New Hampshire in almost five years (2008).
In October of 2012, there were 272 homes sold, compared to 217 homes sold in October of 2011. This is an increase of 25.3 percent.
In Hillsborough County, the number of home sales year-to-date from October 2011 to October 2012 increased from 2,308 to 2,802, which is a 21.4 percent increase.
The inventory is low compared to this time of the year in 2012 and foreclosures and short are declining as well.
It looks like the New Hampshire Housing Market is on the road to recovery and this is good news for both buyers and sellers
