World’s Thinnest House
And you thought your place was tight!
In the world of real estate we've all seen large, super-large & monster homes as well as small, cute, tiny, etc. but thin, narrow? I've heard of homes on narrow lots but this is crazy narrow! Crazy thin!
I came across this and was amazed to learn that in Poland there are plans to build a home in an unused space between two buildings and get this: the space ranges from 122 cm to 72 cm. thin. That’s 48 inches to 28 inches - less than the width of a standard door!
It’s an architectual challenge being built as an ‘art installation’ as it doesn’t fulfill any Polish building codes. (Might be fun to go down to your local municipality with an idea like this...see what they say...)
This tight-fitting space will be a workspace/studio/writer’s abode. When completed, it will probably feel like trying to get into a corset... I don’t think this would work for a family of four with dog and all....and parking? That's the next challenge... building a 28" thin car...
Picture inviting friends over for drinks...they'd be plastered to the walls.
