New Gingerbread Jog/Walk in Katy Texas
The first annual Gingerbread Jog will be held on Saturday December 1, 2012. at the end of Villagio Town Center which is located at 22726 Westheimer Parkway Katy Texas. This event will consist of f a 5K run or a 1 mile walk/run. Fees are $30 person for the 5K run and on race day the fee is $35. The 1 mile walk/run fees are $25 per person with race day also $25 per person.
All the proceeds from this event will go to a worthy cause being the Pregnancy Help Center of West Houston (PHC). The main mission of PHC per their own words is to “ minister the physical. emotional and spiritual needs of women and their families as they experience pregnancy. PHC services are offered at no cost and include things such as pregnancy tests, mentoring and counseling pregnant women plus providing numerous educational classes.
The 5K run starts at 8AM and awards will be given out based on sex and age level. The family walk/run will start at 8:10 AM and the awards ceremony will begin at 9:30 AM . A hospitality and family entertainment tent is available from 8 AM until 10 AM.

This is the second blog I have written about holiday competitive run and family walk/run event. The first blog was titled Katy YMCA Hosts Turkey Dash 2012 is being held on Thanksgiving day while the above event is on the Saturday after the Thanksgiving weekend which gives folks who want to participate an opportunity if they were busy with Thanksgiving weekend plans and missed the YMCA event.
