“We would worry less if we praised more.
Thanksgiving is the enemy of discontent and dissatisfaction.”
~ Harry Ironside
After hot and exhausting summer we are blessed with a break. Cooler air, longer nights, beautiful colors ... and time to slow down a little and reflect. It is time to 'dig' into our memory and truly assess what happened during the year and remind ourselves what we are thankful for ... Fall season is a starting point to REFRESH, RESTORE & REFLECT.
I already started the process...
There is so much happening in our lives (good and not so good). Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a little reminder to re-live the good times? Or to have a picker upper when we are down? So many wondrous things are happening around us - good times with friends, get togethers, things which make us smile, special moments which make our heart warm ...
Let's record them, write them down on a piece of paper. Snap a pic. These are important fragments of our lives ... little tokens of small world wonders given to us by our Creator. Gather them all in one place. Not in electronic way ... there is a special feeling when you can physically touch things.
A THANKFUL BOX - I think that this is a wonderful concept, do you?
I started it already ...
Thankful Box. Purchase a small decorative box or wrap a shoe box with pretty paper. Put a notepad and pen inside and set it on your dresser. Every nite write a small note what you're thankful for. Oh, well you can also do it during the day ... :). I got a few color paint chips from painting dept - they are much more pleasing to the eye than just a scratchy paper. Photographs are a must in my case ... I am such a visual person. But you can print pictures which appeal and 'talk' to you ...
AWESOMNESS IN ONE BOX.
I feel special ...
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!
