How Interesting - Another App!!

Yet another app to help make our lives online "easier."  Now if I just had a grandchild here every day to explain all the "ins and outs" of this particular app.  While watching my granddaughter flip through, choose and download music the other night it occurred to me just how different things are in her world than mine. She would have no idea what to do with an old wringer washing machine but my wife and I could have the family laundry done, rinsed and hung out to dry in no time. Likewise, if the power goes out her world comes to a screeching halt. If my current home at least had a wood burning fireplace my world could remain warm and functional. I could whip up a fire, the basic meals (umm, might need my wife's help on that one) and keep my family, if not toasty, at least reasonably comfortable. A few candles and we could even read books, play games and tell stories before bedtime. No electronics needed.  Things like rotary dial phones and party lines are as foreign to my granddaughter as the speed with which she operates all her multi-functional electronics is to me. Don't get me wrong, I know how to use the new technology but I highly doubt I will ever attain the speed with which the grandkids work it all.  It was comforting though during a trip to the Apple store the very young technician who was assisting my wife and I experiences a problem and says, "I really have no clue why this isn't working."  Yay!! I'm not the only one!!
