Happy Thanksgiving to my Active Rain family.....

Waking up on Thanksgiving certainly has taken a different shape from when our 21 - 28 year old children were 5 - 12 years old.

The empty nest that Beverly and I enjoy is a wonderful life, knowing we have done our best to ensure our three children have started their own lives and traditions., we are truly Blessed.

We no longer run around to ensure all is ready for the BIG dinner, everyone dressed nicely, while Beverly bakes many, many special breads and cookies for the family (and the good news is that is still happening, LOL)......and keeping the kids busy and happy until dinner time arrives......

We just meet everyone at the dinner (27 of us), this year at my in-laws, relax, enjoy and share why we are very THANKFUL for all that God has seen fit to bestow upon us.

Good morning Dan -

Sounds like all 27 of your family member's enjoyed a Blessed Thanksgiving. A growing family! As you know mine couldn't have been any better :) There were only two of us but we enjoyed the evening and dropped by for dinner at a restaurant then unexpectedly our doorbell rang and it was the neighbors with a fully prepared Thanksgiving meal! We shall feast again today.....
