How to Cut Your Home Showings in HALF!

If you've been in the industry for any length of time, chances are you've played chauffeur to some finicky homebuyers looking for that elusive dream home. A recent CAR study shows that on average, agents showed 20 homes to their traditional buyers before having them settle on one. 20 homes! Can you imagine what an impact that makes on your time and productivity?

Now what if you could cut that number of half?

You can - and here's how - it's easy!

Start filling your day with home showings from Internet prospects! On average, they ask for the least number of home showings - just 9 overall!

Compare that to:

Ttraditional buyers, with an average of 20 homes
First-time buyers with almost 11 homes
Repeat buyers with a little over 16 homes
Buyers under age 45 with 14 homes and
Buyers over 45 with over 17 homes.

Why do Internet prospects only have you show them 9 homes as oppossed to the rest? Because they've done all the research for you! They know what they want, they know where they want it and they know how much they want to spend.  That frees up your time considerably to work with even more prospects in your pipeline and earn greater commissions from more clients (and isn't that what we all want?)

Now I'm not saying you should completely abandon working with traditional prospects in favor of an "Internet-buyer-or-bust" approach. Rather you should augment your existing marketing to traditional buyers with the additional commissions that Internet buyers can bring. And when you do get an interested online buyer, know that they'll probably make half the demands on your time, energy and effort as the walk-in prospect that wants to buy but doesn't know where to start.

Good luck!

Internet buyers are generally more savvy and educated about the market.  I also refer a lot of my clients who are not internet buyers to my web page.  I blog about the Sumter, SC market and also they can do an up to the minute home search.  Works out great for them when they really want information now and I am not able to send it to them.

With 70 to 80 percent of home buyers using the internet to find homes for sale and do their research,  the stats make the point.  The internet has become a way of life for most of us.  It's the first place that I look for anything and everything and most of my friends and clients say the same thing.  Hope this brings you lots of hits on your website and many new clients.  Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday.

Kim -- Correct-a-mundo!!!  That is the approach that we prefer that our agents take as well...But, dont forget that they are human also....make sure you keep in touch with them and deliver.  Good Work!!!  If you would like some help getting more buyers, call me.

Judi -- I have seen recent stats that are as high as 91%.  And yes, it is an internet ruled world.  And, you are welcome!  Thanks for reciprocating!
