The weekend after Thanksgiving sees many folks getting into the holiday spirit, with shopping and decorating and local special holiday events.
On Sunday November 25th in downtown Olympia, there will be a number of fun holiday activities, from a parade to gingerbread cottages to a singing Christmas tree and then the official Christmas tree lighting.
Head on downtown Sunday afternoon, and enjoy the colorful and tuneful singing Christmas tree at 4:00 on the side street bordering Sylvester Park. You'll find yourself humming or singing along to holiday favorites!
And shortly after that musical program concludes, you can stay there at the park to ooh and aah when the switch is flipped to light up the Christmas tree!
Let the holidays begin here in Olympia!!! It's Downtown for the Holidays 2012!
