ON THE LEADING EDGE...

By
Real Estate Agent with Austin Texas Homes

Success in Real Estate does not require millions of dollars. You can have success with hard work and planning. Living on the leading edge of any industry requires 4 things:

1.   Risk: You must believe and invest your time energy and resources. You cannot ask others to make a higher investment than you are willing to make.

2.   Sell Yourself: Marketing is more than being creative. Remember the bottom line is to get the word out about who you are and what you can do to help others.

3.  Be Yourself: People will relate to YOU not your knowledge, skill or talent. They may come to appreciate those things about you but they first want to know YOU.

4.   Never stop learning!  When you stop learning your edge is gone. Learning needs to be balanced. Learn about tech tools but do not let it dominate your learning. Learn about your market, your customer. Learn everything you can. Learn each day.

I came from Evelyn Kennedy's reblog, but surprised not to see her comment here. Anywya, I usually not keen on "things to do", but these basic things are wise and good to remember and follow.

Alan, nuber 4 really hit home.  I am a big advocate of learning-- whether it be the present market, changes in the law, marketing, etc.  We deal with a moving target, and those that just sit will be passed over.
