Extreme Makeover: Home edition...New Hampshire style

“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” New Hampshire will air on Sunday, January 27.

How cool is this... ABC has decided to expand their typical one-hour episode to a two-hour special. It seems that they had way too much good New Hampshire footage to leave on the cutting room floor!

Plus to celebrate Jon Lariviere and Reggie Moreau, from RJ Moreau are inviting the entire community, especially everyone who participated in the build and their families, to come and watch the show live on the JumboTron at Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester.

Admission is free, plus in addition to the show, there will be special guests, raffles and other activities, including a behind-the-scenes documentary on the volunteers who made this happen.

The doors open at 6 p.m. and the program will begin at approximately 6:45. It will be general seating, so plan on arriving early.

Let's all help show ABC and the nation just how special New Hampshire is!

Everyone is invited so let’s fill the arena! They are asking that all those who volunteered please wear their blue shirts so that they can be recognized.

Jay and I plan on attending...it should be an awesome night!

This house is fairly close to where my sister and brother-in-law live. Interesting looking house from the outside in that neighborhood....

I read something that the Verizon Center part will only be shown up here in this area. Not sure if that's accurate or not, but I think I read that in the Herald or Fosters or some paper like that.

I always wondered if they attempted to make the houses conform/fit in to the surrounding neighborhood. It never looked that way. I used to like the show better when they actually did a makeover on a house instead of tearing it down and starting from scratch.

I think that WMUR (for out-of stater's that's the ABC affiliate here in NH) is broadcasting a special one-hour show just before ABC does their two-hour show. Wish I could make it to that side of NH this weekend--it should be be a lot of fun. I hope to watch it Sunday, and look forward to your take on it on AR next week! no pressure ;-)

I know those homes really help some very deserving families, but I constantly find myself wondering why they keep designing and building homes that just don't fit into the neighborhoods they build them in. I know the city of Manchester made them jump through hoops in their permitting process because of the setbacks, height restriction, code issues, design, etc.

Linda...The show was pretty neat. We stayed home and watched it on TV because I wrote an offer...yipee!

Ann...I thought it looked very funny sitting there like that. I think they designed it to keep it frome flooding out again. A very tall looking house that is for sure.
