(November 2) -- HomesinYourTown.com,  URL-protected, town-specific network of websites which enable Real Estate Town Advocates to continually advance the lifestyles, real estate values, and civic and community services of the town they serve, today announced that Allan Dalton has joined the company as President of HomesinYourTown.com.

Dalton's 30-plus year career in the real estate industry included 12 years as President and co-owner of an independent real estate brokerage with more than 20 offices. Since 1997, Dalton has been a senior executive within several of Cendant Corporation's residential real estate units. Most recently, Dalton served as Executive Vice President of Coldwell Banker New England Metro, the largest real estate services organization in New England, and former President of Realtor.com the leading online real estate portal.

Recognized as a pioneer in creating innovative and effective marketing systems for real estate professionals and companies, Dalton helped create Century 21's Customized Marketing System and Career Development System as well as ERA's Value Added Marketing System and Value Added Career Development Book. "My professional career has been dedicated to supporting and improving the productivity and profitability of REALTORS. There is no better or more important platform for me to continue that effort than HomesinYourTown.com," said Dalton. "I believe HomesinYourTown.com represents one of the best marketing and brand building tools available to real estate professionals. I am excited to join the new management team at HomesinYourTown.com to help deliver these tools and services to all REALTORS."

"We are extremely pleased to welcome Allan to HomesinYourTown.com," said Lawrence Vecchio, HomesinYourTown.com Founder. "Allan's passion and commitment to making REALTORS successful is unparalleled in our industry. As a former draft pick of the Boston Celtics, Allan's approach to basketball is an effective metaphor for his approach to business and customers. Allan's extraordinary drive and character were highlighted in an April 2000 article in The Atlantic Monthly titled, 'The Best Pick-up Basketball Player in America.' After traveling with and observing Allan for weeks, the author concluded, 'Allan gets everybody involved. Teammates quickly learn that Dalton will make them look good. Dalton not only makes his team better, he makes the game better.' Allan's real estate career is punctuated with this same commitment to making REALTORS more successful. HomesInYourTown websites are owned and hosted on a ONE AGENT PER TOWN basis, enabling select real estate agents to positively weave themselves into the real estate fabric of their community by becoming the “real estate talk of town”, as well as empowering town residents to participate in real estate town advocacy efforts through Neighbors Know Best.benefiting REALTORS and consumers alike."
