What am I thankful for today?

I am thankful for laughter.

 On Thanksgiving at my family's house there came the kind of laughter that made tears run down your face, made you hold your ribs and even run to the bathroom.  And the funny thing is I don't even remember what started it or what we thought was so funny.  What I do remember is my family just laughing out loud together.

Today in church my Donald was clicking his nails.  And if you don't know it, noise distracts me beyond words.  I can't pay attention if someone is clicking a pen, rattling change in their pocket or tapping repeatedly.  So I gave my Donald a look to make him stop.  Well he started to laugh, not loud, but the kind where you shake because you are trying to not laugh.  As you all know laughter is contagious.  So of course I started to laugh too.  I wonder if everyone on our side of the church felt it.

Today I am thankful that I have lots of laughter in my life.  I have friends that can make me laugh even in the worst of times.  And when I was looking for some "laughter" to with this post I found someone who agrees with me that Laughter really is the best medicine.  I hope you have lots of laughter in your life too.

I am thankful for laughter too! It is the best medicine, when things are tuff it makes them seem ok.  When things are good, its what makes memories! Here is to lots of laughter for us all1

Tammy, I have so many fond memories of our family sitting around the table laughing. However, today I feel nothing but sadness as our family dog of 11 years passed away. All I can feel right now is sadness.

Hi Tammy,

I am known for laughing a lot for those who have extended relationships with me.  There is a lot to laugh about, and a good belly laugh is very healthy.  I too am thankful for laughter!

Laughter is the cure for nearly all ills! It's so wonderful that you have a family that makes you laugh (and laughs along with you). That's a blessing not everyone has! My family is getting together this coming Easter for the first time in several years, and I suspect we will have some of those tear-inducing gut laughs as well!
