Wrap-up the Holiday shopping at Lakeside Village - Shopping, movies, dining, entertainment, arts & crafts throughout the season, such as: Visit Santa’s workshop from now until 12/24/12, Let it Snow! Christmas Parade “Tis the Season” - An amazing event the for the entire family complete with fireworks over Lake Mirror, the 32nd Annual Christmas Parade will take place on December 6th 2012 from 7-9 pm. Plan to get there early. For more information, please click the link right here.
First Friday - Downtown Lakeland FL on December 7th 2012 from 6-9 pm. The theme for this year’s event is “Cookies & Carols”. Parade floats will be on display, local schools and groups performing throughout downtown Lakeland. Check out the specials of the downtown shops and boutiques. Holiday fun galore for the entire family.
Victorian Christmas - Experience a Dickens Holiday at 987 Lake Hollingsworth Drive in Lakeland FL presented by the Geneva Classical Academy 12/7 - 12/8 from 6-9 p.m. and Sunday 12/9 from 2-5 p.m. For more information please click right here.
Snowfest - A children’s favorite will take place on Saturday, December 8th from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m at Lake Mirror. Complete with snow mountain and snow slide. Holiday Music Concerts are happening in area churches, schools and various organizations and here are some of my favorites that I have enjoyed in years past. These musicians and singers are volunteering their time with rehearsals and practicing their music to perfection for your enjoyment. Florida Southern College - Christmas Gala - December 8th, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. Patrons have reminded them that their Christmas season begins with "The Gala". Florida Southern College talented student will perform sacred and secular music. For more information, please click here.
Imperial Symphony Orchestra - “Swingin’ Holiday Pops” - December 11th, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at Youkey Theater in the Lakeland Center. If you have never seen a concert presented by the Imperial Symphony Orchestra, this is a must go event. Local musicians under the baton of Mark Thielen, will play holiday favorites. Harrison School for the Arts - Music of the Season - December 13th, and December 14th, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at Harrison Arts Theater. Due to popular demand and sold out concerts of years past, the Harrison School for the Arts will have two Music of the Season performances. These talented high school students of the Choral and Orchestra Department will present secular, sacred and holiday favorites for the whole family to enjoy.
