Tonight’s topic: lots of fun, ta da, rc planes. This is really Jim’s blog – I’m being the kind wife and typing it.
One of Jim’s fun hobbies is building remote control (rc) planes from scratch. Yep, he takes totally nothing and turns it into this fabulous creation which actually flies. Jim buys a couple sheets of foam board, this really smelly stuff called epoxy, gorilla glue, tape, bamboo sticks, and dowel rods. All the essentials for a scratch built foamy.
I go off and blog and do computer work and the like while he goes off and builds. His skills all the way from pattern to finished product are amazing. Not one detail goes unnoticed.
The first plane is his current unfinished project: The Big Ultimate. This is the plane in which I told him if he made it any bigger; I was going to put him in the cockpit to pilot it. This plane is also made from foam board.
The bumblebee plane can be cut out and assembled in a couple hours and be flown in the same day if you’re not waiting for paint to dry. This is a slow to fast plane that maneuvers very well.
Depending on the plane, the build time varies. For a few pennies to build, it’s a very fun hobby.
So back to why we’re really here: Foxy Interiors Incorporated has two sides to the business. Jim is the fixer upper. He is very talented and can bring a mess to its full glory with the variety of his skill sets. These include carpentry, plumbing, tile work, painting, landscaping, etc. You name it, he can probably do it. We do, however, have a variety of resources to get the job done right and on time.
