Metal Art in Salt Lake County Utah

metal art in Utah

It's indoors, it's outdoors, in parks, on sidewalks, near creeks, in malls, at TRAX stations...

Artistic expression in metal is found everywhere in Salt Lake County, Utah. It records, pioneers, famous people and events, glory from the 2002 Winter Olympics which showcased Salt Lake City to the world, whimsy, and much, much more.

Initially I would come upon an offering, and at random, would record it to later show others. Over time, I have come to feel that I will never see it all. Friends from other states or even other countries surprise me with examples of metal art that they found in Utah that I have yet to see.

The metal art is extensive, detailed, thought provoking. It adds to the experience of living in the Valley of the Great Salt Lake. It is there for locals and visitors to enjoy.

If you are visiting the Salt Lake Valley,Utah, soon, or looking to make it your home, you might bring a coat and gloves, but above all, bring your camera.

I LOVE METAL ART, WELL ANY KIND OF ART IS BIG IN MY BOOK. When I worked in a bank the owners always had metal art shows. They were beautiful works of art.

Hi Larry.  I'm a fan, too.  I enjoy any kind of sculpture, actually, but nobody much carves marble these days!

Larry, like them all, but maybe the fisherman the most! Enjoy your day!

Sussie - I seem to "collecting" more each day. Sometimes I wish I had a catalog to tick off.

Dianne - Thanks for sharing your artistic bent. There is some marble around town as well.

Wayne - the fisherman is outside Scheels in Sandy UT. Huge statue with rod (in picture) long rod and a line to a caught fish well away from first statue. Something to get involved in.

Larry, this metal artwork is very attractive and varied as well.  It's nice to see that Salt Lake County, Utah, embraces the arts.  Congratulations on being today's featured member!

Silvia - Art tells stories regardless of your language. Utah is full of surprises.  I am very happy in my adopted home ~ enough to see and do all the time, to be constantly surprised.

ps thanks for letting me know about the Newsletter. I was wondering where the extra activity came from. I feel suitably bashful.
