I had my granddaughters with me through the Thanksgiving Holiday. We had an amazing time and were able to squeeze in a trip to Santa's Wonderland. This was a very worthwhile outing.
The weather in Texas has been very warm so it is kind of hard to get in the spirit of Christmas, but during this outing we are reminded of all of the special times this season brings. All the lights and children laughing and playing and singing around the campfire really make you feel good.
Santa's Wonderland is located just off Hwy 6 between College Station Texas and Navasota Texas. At Santa's Wonderland you will experience a Texas Style Christmas.
When you step into Santa's town you will find several shops with unique gift items, a full movie screen playing Christmas movies, Santa Photos, A cozy campfire and live music. You will be surrounded by holiday sounds, children singing and playing in the courtyard. We played in the "Snow" that magically appeared throughout the evening.
The smells of BBQ, Kettle Corn and hot cocoa are all around us. We even stopped to make Smore's. As we proceed through the courtyard we find a mechanical bull with children line up to ride. I couldn't talk either one of my girls into giving this a spin. We found a petting zoo and pony rides and that is where they wanted to play.
Next we get on a hayride which takes us through over a mile of lights. The twinkling lights and the looks on the children's face makes you feel like a kid again. We even had a visit from Frosty aka Frostbite.
If you get the chance, take the time visit Santa's Wonderland...you won't regret it. Wishing you all the best of times as you create your family holiday memories.
