Then and now
This photo was taken in 2007. This is the photo they took when I went for the state licensing exam. Almost looks like a driver's license photo now that I really look at it. I did use this on most of my early advertising the first month.
They made me take off my glasses for the photo. I felt naked without them. I was afraid I'd have a big red line where they were. Wasn't a bad photo, though not what I would want for a professional photo.
I had been blonde for 20 years and decided I wanted to present a more serious look.
This next photo was my first "official" picture that was taken with my first company. They had a photographer they used and you were charged a set fee.
She said it would be extra to wear my glasses because they'd have to take off the glare. So off went the glasses again!
I had colored my hair a dark auburn and started brushing it to the side. This photo was only a couple months after the one above.
This photo was taken when I changed companies in 2011. I thought I needed an updated look. Alot of people kept telling me I didn't look anything like my photo. I had my husband take this picture at home. I took off the glasses because I thought there would be a glare, since I had been told that so many times.
I like to have children on showings help me with leaving my cards at homes. I had the daughter of a client ask if that was my mother in the picture. She would not believe it was me!
Which brings me to my latest picture. My hair is a different shade, more of a dark blonde now. On one of my last listing appointments I was told that they would recognize me walking down the street or in a store. They were familiar with my picture from emails!
I for one will continue to put my picture (an updated one) on all my advertising.
