There is nothing like fresh fruit! I remember when I lived overseas, my favorite apples could only be purchased in Switzerland and we would drive down at harvest time to get crates of them for the cellar. Be sure to share photos of what you get!!!!

Barbara-Jo, your apple shopping in Switzerland reminds me of a place an hour away called "Apple Hill" which is filled with apple farms and most are only open during the fall harvest months. I love going there! I may go to the mandarin orchards during the 3rd weekend if the weather is somewhat nice...this weekend is supposed to be more rain, rain, rain. :)

Christine, I think I may remember seeing citrus from Florida...but I'm not 100% sure. I'll pay attention next time I'm at the grocery store. :)

Michelle, I missed the Mandarin Festival again this year, so I'm hoping to visit a few orchards during Orchard Days. The mandarins grown locally are indeed the best! :)
