Cell phone numbers are going public tomorrow.  They will be available to telemarketing companies and anyone  who wants to LEGALLY call you and pitch their business.  We all know how hard it is sometimes to politely end a call with a telemarketer. 

  *** You will be charged for these calls ***

 

To prevent this, you can do one of the two things:

1.   You can register more than one phone number by going to http://www.donotcall.gov/

 

2.   Call the following number from your cell phone:

888-382-1222.


It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time
It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number.

 

I went on the website and registered 3 numbers for my family.  It took me less than 2 minutes.  I had to enter a valid email address, then go into my Inbox, click on the link and confirm the registration.

Marzena you may want to check things like this out on Snopes.com before you republish them. This is an urban legend that has been around for years.
