The 20^th annual ‘Stuff a Bus’ toy drive event takes place this week on Friday Nov. 30, 2012 in the Inland Empire. Garth Kemp from ABC Channel 7 news will be hosting as the Christmas elf. This is a joint venture of the ABC, Southern California Firefighters, and Omnitrans.

Spark of Love event collects unwrapped toys for boys and girls and are placed into the buses. The toys are given to children in San Bernardino County. Last year 600,000 toys were collected and given to over 3,000 families.

C Spark of Love Stuff a Bus Toy Drive Ontario CA ommunity members can participate by bringing a toy to the “Stuff a Bus” event, or they may drop off a toy at Omnitrans offices, local fire stations or CVS Pharmacy Stores.

Hi Christine,

Omnitrans is the large bus company in the state and they do a great job of bringing in like 5 or 6 buses and the donors get to walk onto the bus and put their gift inside. The kids love this and K-frog, a popular radio station televises also and one of my pictures shows the big frog in the drivers seat. I took these pictures last year and plan to drop off 4 presents tomorrow. It would be a great program to go nationwide as well. Thanks for stopping to support this cause. Happy Holidays!

Yes I am pretty sure it will be a great success. I am going in a few minutes to buy my toys to take tomorrow. I will get updated pictures too. I am excited to I can imagine how the little kids feel plus it is good for them to learn early that it is better to give than to receive.

Hi Patricia,

From the time my kids were tiny we would go to the mall and find the tree with tags. We would shop for a toy specifically for a child and then return the present with the tag attached. They grew up knowing it was important to buy gifts for the kids who either didn't have parents or their parents needed some assistance. I hope they always remember this as they grow older and eventually get out of college and make a living.

I think you can be certain that your kids will carry on this tradition. You taught them well and they will continue to do random acts of kindness. Children live what they learn and it all comes from their upbringing.

Kudos to you Kristin for teaching your children well right from the beginning. You all have a lot to be proud of.

Yes I certainly hope they always remember to do good for the less fortunate. I am getting excited as I am going to take the two presents I bought last night there shortly. it is rainlng but doesn't seem to be deturing people from coming while watching it on the ABC Channel 7 news.
