On Saturday, December 1, 2012 Light Up St Matthews will take place at St Matthews Brown Park beginning at 4 p.m. The actual lighting is scheduled for 6 p.m. This is a great St Matthews event. It's one my kids look forward to every year.
In addition to the lighting of the decorations in Brown Park, there will be a number of activities including train rides, an appearance by Santa, an appearance by Ronald McDonald, petting zoo, carriage rides, hot chocolate, cookies, and even a trolley running every 30 minutes between your favorite St Matthews shopping spots and Brown Park as well as from the parking area at Baptist East Hospital.
Brown Park is located on Kresge Way where it intersects Browns Lane in St Matthews. This is a wonderful event sponsored by the St Matthews Chamber. Plus, with the forecast showing temps in the upper 50s Saturday and plenty sunshine, for once, a winter holiday event like this will even be comfortable! So come one out, and bring the family.
