I've been using Docusign for over a year now. It's been great! I wish everyone allowed electronic signatures. I wish we could allow the closings to take place with docusign. What's the point of the "original" signature anyway? Either the seller wants to sell or they don't. Either the buyer wants to buy or they don't. Why make them jump through so many hoops to prove how badly they want to buy and/or sell?
I get some buyers from a specific referral source. Whenever I receive the buyer's information, I have to print out the form, sign it, scan it, and then email it back to them. I tried to electronically sign it a couple of months ago, and I received a "nasty-gram" back stating I wasn't allowed to do that. What? This particular company even allows their buyers to electronically sign their initial loan disclosures, but they won't allow me to sign the referral agreement that way. Are you kidding me??
Come the first of the year, our MLS and ZIP Forms are including a new service within our dues. It's called Digital Ink. I'll have to check it out because FREE beats $19 a month!! Sorry, Docusign, but you might be put on the back-burner with a new dawg in town!!
