As part of my efforts to promote client listings & to provide information about the Arizona west valley active adult communities, I have accumulated a large number of Domain Names. The average consumer may think these are all different websites when, in fact, the domains I use have just been 'pointed' to my main website. If I am doing a general ad for homes in the Arizona retirement communities I may use AZ-Adult-Communities.com People around Sun City Grand, Sun City West or Arizona Traditions may have seen one of my print ads or a flyer & accessed my website via SunCityGrandListings.com, SunCityWestListings.com or ArizonaTraditionsListings.com respectively. You might be thinking... "This is really confusing and why is it even necessary?" On the internet this is important because people use 'keywords' when doing a Google or Yahoo search. And usually they have a particuler community in mind. My website (& client listings) are more likely to show up if I have that community name embedded in my domain name. On flyers placed outside my listings this is important because it makes it easier for a potential buyer to remember. They may never remember KathyAnderson.Info but Homes-SunCityFestival.com (if they are interested in the Sun City Festival community) is something they could easily remember. Another reason I have different domain names is so I can immediately direct them to the appropriate page on My Website. Someone looking for homes in Corte Bella and using my domain name Corte-Bella-Homes.com is not going to have to navigate through my entire website to get to the listings they are interested in. What it all comes down to is getting potential buyers the information on the homes they are looking for & promoting listing clients homes in every way possible, as effectively as possible. |
