HOME STAGING. REDESIGN. RENOVATION
This morning I have my designer hat on and thought tile would be a great conversation piece. Well, usually it is. With that said, when we think of tile, we think of floors, showers, and backsplashes as being the most common. But is that all there really is?
Let’s put our creative thinking caps on and go outside the box. Tile is made from many materials: there’s stone, glass, marble, porcelain, and metals. They come in solids, iridescent, geometrics, with pictures pre-stamped and so forth. So what are some of the possibilities for using tile?
· Fireplace surround
· Swimming pool
· Design on an end cap of a kitchen island
· Foyer (entry way) floor
· All the way up the wall, 2/3 up the wall, 1/2 way up the wall
· Interior window frame going up from the sill on three sides
· Framing a bathroom mirror
· A rug under your dining table
I hope you’ve been inspired by this blog. So go break out your tile chippers, create your pattern and set that tile. Hopefully you’ll have a beautiful unique design – one that can be a conversation piece.
The photos below demonstrate examples of:

And, of course, our own tiled window at the end of this blog.
