One fall I went up to Stockbridge MA and took a ride on an old Berkshire train with the intent of leaf peeping.

The leaves weren't as colorful at the time but that did not stop me from having fun.

Inside the train the seats were hard, it was an old train.  I did not mine so much because I spent the time glued to the window with my camera always ready to capture a scene.  I love taking photos from a moving train because I get to capture scenes I would otherwise never see.  One big surprise was the great quality of photos you can get while on a moving train.

Jennifer, I've never had the chance to ride trains.  You make it sound so inviting.

Hi Jennifer,

I rode on trains quite a bit when I was little as my mother had a horrible flight from Tennessee to Alaska and refused for years to get on an airplane. I remember what great experiences I had and the scenery was spectacular. Thanks for the great memories.

I love trains too. I haven't done a train ride up in the Vermont area to look at leaves, but we often take a train from Harrisburg to New York City and that is a fun train ride.

Jennifer, that had to have been a great time!  Plus, it was nice that you had plenty of room to spread out and switch sides to get the best pictures of the moment!  How fun!

Very cool Jennifer!  My husband and I rode a lot of trains in Europe over our trips there but not too many here in the USA!  Thanks for sharing!
