Welcome to Tuxedo Park!
Tuxedo Park is the most beautiful and enchanting community I have ever seen.
When I show homes here, I am delighted by the intricate and varied architecture. Each home is unique. There is nothing cookie cutter about them.
As I drive through the area I feel like I have stepped into an era of yesteryear and the elegance and quiet dignity of each home that I see is charming to me.
Along with the magnificent mansions, many of which were built in the mid 1880s, the grounds are equally stunning. The 2600 acres are filled with woods to use for hiking and cross country skiiing and paths to use for biking, strolling and walking your dog.
There are many amazing rock formations and the landscaping is lush, with marvelous green lawns, specimen trees and shrubs and wonderful flowering perennials.
Not only are there stately homes and fabulous grounds, but there are three crystal clear lakes where you can swim, fish and boat.
As I drive through the park, on the roads that are closest to the lakes, I love seeing the lakes glisten in the sunlight and listening to the gently lapping water. I also enjoy the beauty of the Ramapo Mountains that surround them.
Some of the estates have dramatic views of these lakes and the Ramapo Mountains and others have wonderful wooded views which offer a sense of peace, tranquility and privacy.
There are a wide variety of styles of home, from bungalows and cottages to contemporary homes to tudor homes and old style mansions.
The homes are on anywhere from 0.11 acres to 19.4 acres and there is a private parcel of land that is 50.0 acres. There are small homes like the 500 square foot 1 bedroom, 1 bath bungalow and enormous estates with as much as 24,064 square feet, 26 bedrooms, and 11.5 baths.
Many of the homes have multiple cozy fireplaces to enjoy on those cold winter days and nights and one has 12 fireplaces!
Tuxedo Park has a blend of historic homes that were built in the mid 1880s and early 1900s and newer homes built in the late 1900s.
