I started decorating Christmas stockings in a different way 2 years ago. My partner and I decided to start living together and when Christmas came I wanted to get Christmas stockings to mark our first Christmas in the same home. I set out to a local craft store l and bought the stockings. Since I have never been able to master the glue and glitter to write names on the stockings I looked for a different way to dress up the stockings that were unique to each person and dog.
I found myself in the scrapbook section and came across some very cool appliques. They are adhesive and come in all kinds of styles. On Brian's stocking I added a bar-b-que, a camper, road map and folding chair. Mine has a house and a bunch of Christmas things like a Santa and a Tree. Our dog Munchkin has Treats, a ball and a Santa.
This year is our dog Hemi's first Christmas. Her birthday is January 16th. She needed a stocking and my partners Father is living with us temporarily so I made him a stocking this year as well. My father-in-law's stocking has playing cards, slot machine, fishing poles and fish and a football. Those are all of his favorite activities. Hemi's stocking has Dog Treats and holiday decorations.

The "stickers" are laminated and printed on cardboard so they are sturdy and well made. I found them in packs with multiple items of the same theme. They are priced from $2.50 to $4.00 per package.
