We don't think about rural homes with septics and wells if you live in an area like I do, Grand Rapids Michigan. Well Drilling Services are one of the last thoughts on my list. I have public water system. Then again if you are in real estate like most of us on Active Rain we cross many highways and see all types of homes and water supply systems.
I have been spending a bit more time lately in my son's territory which is Barry, Kalamazoo and Allegan counties. The communities have public water systems but at times home within city limits had not hooked up to the public water supply. Not unlike many parts of the country the rules seem to go from township to township and county to county on what requirements are followed for water wells.
In some area if you buy or sell a home the well must be accessible from outside the home. In other area that have homes older than 50 years wells are on the inside and have no chance of being worked on with the exception of the pump, water tank and delivery lines. If your well tip plugs up you will need a new well because a well drilling rig isn't going to be able to drive in your back door!
So with some of my new found tallents gained over the past year, while finishing my Masters program in website design and Internet marketing. I decided to do a selfless act and promote my son's water well drilling business for him. I kept asking him for photos and clips so I could put this together. It seems busy people don't have much time to spare. I think we all know that feeling all to well.
The next time you need a water well driller or a repair think of the experience and licenses required to have a great job done. People never question why it costs so much when water well driller drive up in big rigs. Yet when a real estate agent brings a buyer to their door they don't see the maketing time it has taken to develop the clients. I wonder if I haul my laptop in a 40 foot big rig my value would go up?
