My initial 90 Day Challenge ended November 25th. My Goal, set without much forethought and set at an ambitious number, was to lose 45 pounds in 90 days.
My logic was that 1/2 a pound a day would be lofty goal.
I posted a blog about starting and progress in the 90 Day Challenge that just ended and included a link to an attempt to lose weight that ultimately failed in 2010. It has been my experience that losing weight after the age of fifty has been much harder than my experiences in losing weight when I was under forty.
Though I did not meet my goal of losing 45 pounds in 90 days, I DID lose 42 pounds in 90 Days. I lost 5.5 inches off my waist and 4 inches off my chest. I have lost inches almost everywhere, even a notch on my watchstrap! What impresses me most is the fact that I do not feel "deprived" or hungry and the increase in my personal energy level.
I have felt and am continuing to experience so many unforeseen benefits. I can now walk up multiple flights of stairs with feeling winded and needing to catch my breath. I am experiencing less pain and discomfort in my ankles, knees, and back.
My friends, Jeremy Tatton and Dylan Moscovitch (who, with partner Kirsten Moore-Towers represents Canada in pairs Figure Skating and is working hard to represent Canada in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia) have been using this program to increase their fitness levels with great success. If you would like to know more details or to talk to either of them, contact me by phone or e-mail. At the present moment, Dylan is competing abroad, but I can have him connect with you when he is back in "town".
My wife, who does not need to lose nearly the amount of weight that I do, joined and started her own 90 Day Challenge about two month ago and many of her co-workers and friends have noticed her results.
