Santa's Christmas Tree Forest Eustis, Florida

I have to admit it. Everybody I've told can't believe it. However, here is the breaking news: I have never had a real Christmas Tree. Never. Not even a little one. Now before you post a comment telling me how you can't believe it, let me tell you why. I have allergies. Bad allergies. However, this year I decided to suck it up, take the allergy medicine and let my wife (she grew up having real trees) and my two little ones experience the joy of having a real Christmas Tree.

As I was looking for a decent place to get a Christmas Tree, I came across a place in Eustis Florida called "Santa's Christmas Tree Forest". For those of you in Clermont, Minneola, Montverde, Mascotte or Groveland who think that Eustis is too far to go to get a Christmas Tree, keep reading.

As I was checking out their website, I noticed that this was a pretty neat place and might be a great place to have a little family outing. When we got there, I was surprised at the activities they had for the kids. Admission is FREE, but the things for kids cost $2 per ticket.

If you aren't interested in paying for anything, they have a FREE petting zoo. That my little ones loved.

Santa's Christmas Tree Farm

Goats, Ducks, Horses, Ponies and a Donkey. My girls loved it.

After that, I decided to go ahead and pay $4.00 to get two tickets to let my oldest daughter ride a horse and my youngest ride a pony. This would be her first time ever riding a pony.

The staff at the Christmas Tree Farm were awesome. As you can see above, they took good care in making sure my daughter was safe...and happy. They were having such a great time, that I decided to go buy two more tickets. This time, I bought 2 tickets to the Pillow Bounce. I can't really explain it, so take a look for yourself.

It is what it says it is. A pillow bounce. After that, we went to the Christmas Maze which I have to admit was pretty fun...and hard. Fortunately, God made me big (I'm 6'4"), so I could look over the walls a little and see where to go. My little one called Daddy a cheater. I was just using what God gave me.

Some of the things we didn't do was the hay ride, the train ride and the zip line.

The thing that I thought was the most fun came at the end. They had a little fire going and you could sit around and cook your own hot dogs. Hotdogs cost $1 a piece and drinks cost $1 as well. My oldest is really afraid of fire. She didn't want to go anywhere near it. It took me a while and some of that "Daddy is here, I won't let you get hurt" talk, but what happened next is something that I am very proud of.

She cooked her first hot dog over an open fire. Awesome. Great memories were made at Santa's Christmas Tree Forest. Oh, the Christmas Tree...forgot to get one. However, if you go, they have them pre-cut or, they will give you a saw and you can go out and cut your own.

So, if you are looking for some fun this holiday season, be sure to check out Santa's Christmas Tree Forest
