LISTEN

By
Real Estate Agent with ERA TEAM IV HOMES

Definition: Listen--To give attention for the purpose of hearing.

Listening is a week trait for many agents. I know it is not my strongest point. "Finish your sentence, Hurry up, You are too slow" is what's going on in my mind. I even go so far as finishing sentences. THIS IS NOT THE RECOMMENDED APPROACH"!!!

Listening not interrogating will give you the best insite as how to help your customer or client.

You might find out if your sellers are:

1.  Financial difficulties (Maybe  pre forclosure)

2.  Divorce

3.  Job change

4.  Illness

You might find out if your buyers are:

1.  Changing jobs

2.  Life style change  (New baby, Parents moving in ), etc.

3.  extra bedroom.

Sellers & buyers will probably have the same criteria. YOU WILL HAVE TO LISTEN!!!!

This is a great reminder to us all.  I think people will feel more comfortable with you when you let them tell their "story" at their own pace, instead of , as you put it, being interrogated.

Listen! The reason God gave us two ears and only one mouth. ;-)

Today's fruit du jour is "Avocado"; I don't care for Avocados.
