EVEN FACEBOOK CAN GENERATE BUSINESS

Many people use Facebook, thinking it's too

“social” for business purposes, or more for the

younger generation. But Facebook can be used to

obtain business. It is still the biggest social media

venue, with one billion users. One big plus for

Facebook is that it’s helpful in generating “warm” calls.

Many sales books and training advocate the premise

that you need to know your client extremely well—children,

vacations, relatives, likes, dislikes, sports, birthdays,

graduations, weddings, etc. Facebook provides

that opportunity. It is particularly effective for those

who like to do nonprofit or community work. you can “advertise” the fact that you

are active and helping—which can lead to more warm calls and future business. So

don’t count out Facebook as a lead generator! Remember to lean more on the professional

side, get to know your client or potential client, and reap the rewards of

future business.

Robert, interesting point that you can use Facebook to learn more about your client. Especially useful if you forget the names of the children and pets! Great blog post! :)
