E Books Are THE Books

E BooksI thought the phrase E Books are THE Books had a certain catchiness to it. We are headed that way, away from paper into books as volumes on our electronic devices. I think we all like the book shelves in libraries and bookstores, but will they survive? Maybe, but I am not so sure.

This Christmas add this to the shopping, whether you want some audio books or readers like Kindle Fire, Nook, mini or full iPad or tablet, think about exploring this latest trend. Searching around in the book, making notes, highlighting, having multiple books at hand instantly, on line newspapers that even look like the real thing with ads, magazines, it is not as scary as you might think.

I overheard someone say wouldn't it be nice to have a transcript of the audio book. DUH, that is the book.

Everything keeps changing.

I love the picture.  Yes everything changes and we need to change with it.  So, yes, I have me reading books on my iPad.

Gary, while I do love a good book (the real ones) it is quite nice to have my Kindle and I-Pad to read on.  There are some books that I would still like to have as books, like the classics but the quick reads, kindle or I-pad for me.  --Krystal

Pretty much now days I don't buy anything but eBooks.  Just ever so often I'll buy a "book" book if I think I need to flip around in the book rapidly it's just easier for me to do it with a real paper book.

Gary, the last line says it!  I read everything on my iPad, but I also buy the books!  I love to have the paper.  What can I say?

Hi Gary, I love the electronic book format, they are easier to read, bookmarked where you leave off, always have them with me, and if that weren't enough I don't have to dust them, LOL. Will paper books survive, probably for a least a few decades, maybe forever.

I love the look and feel of a real book.  That said, there is also a place for E Books in our fast paced lives.

I still like the feel of the book in my hands. Just something more "cozy" about reading that way, I guess.
